Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis has announced that true freshman Jimmy Clausen will be the starting quarterback against Penn State on Saturday.
What does this mean? It means that after getting trounced by Georgia Tech, Weis feels comfortable in conceding that the Fighting Irish are going to be a bad team this season. At this point Clausen might as well be thrown to the wolves and gain as much game experience as possible, since the team isn’t going to win right now anyway.
Have fun against that Penn State defense, Jimmy. Looks like big loss number two is on the horizon…
